Navisworks 2014 Hotfix 3

Autodesk just released a new Hotfix for Navisworks (all flavors) and it fixes/resolves the following issues…

- Problems resulting from operations that involve clicking in the first column of the Clash results grid, such as collapsing/expanding groups, dragging clashes and resizing columns.
- Issues with material and transparency inconsistency when importing FBX files.
- Issues with the automatic selection of the correct Rendering engine (Presenter or Autodesk)

Note: it is not necessary to have installed Navisworks 2014 Service Pack 1 before installing this hotfix

You can download the appropriate version HERE

Navisworks 2011 TimeLiner - P6 Web Services Hotfix

This TimeLiner hotfix addresses two problems users may experience when accessing projects in Primavera using the P6 web services interface:

  1. When importing projects from Primavera the project data in the Tasks and Gantt View tabs are not structured correctly under the top level “New Link” node.
  2. When synchronizing or rebuilding projects in TimeLiner user data associated with a project’s tasks does not persist correctly.

The hotfix applies to both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2011 and Simulate 2011 and can be downloaded HERE.

Hotfix – Revit Openings Are Solid in Navisworks 2010

Some folks have seen an issue come up when using an exported NWC file from Revit (using the NWC exporter add-in) where the openings (e.g. doors and windows) are being displayed as solid objects.  There is a hotfix available for Navisworks, not Revit to fix this problem.  The hotfix can be downloaded here…

Again, this is a hotfix for Navisworks and how it’s exporting the objects to a NWC file exported out from Revit.  The problem isn’t really with Revit, it’s the exporters that are installed to allow Revit to export to Navisworks.
