Yes, Revit can get you the volume of the concrete of say Footings, but you can't also then get the Volume for Walls in the same schedule/take-off. With Navisworks, you'll be able to just do a take-off for ALL concrete if you wanted. Revit needs to break up the "take-off" into object categories where-as Navisworks doesn't. Navisworks can also work with other types of geometry (AutoCAD MEP or Architecture for example) and Revit is just Revit geometry.Dwane Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04103724351762050322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4196691008955862684.post-41039972060525187172014-05-12T08:42:12.396-05:002014-05-12T08:42:12.396-05:00Thanks for the tip Kevin, so simple! What I want to achieve is a Selection Tree in Manage that just lists the Levels and if I want to I can open/expand that Level to select the individual rooms. Any suggestion on how to create this? If I make an .nwf of the rooms and call it Level 01, when I append it into a Base Model .nwf file the Selection Tree shows all the rooms (.dwgs) for Level 1 - not the Level 01 .nwf.... The NWC shows Level first in the tree, but the RVT shows category and no level. Is it possible your NWC and RVT are the same in your selection tree because your file names are identical? Once you've appended your NWC, how is Navis managing an appended RVT with the exact name? Could you please validate by appending files w/o exact names?
